The Will of God

Over the years I have heard from multiple people how we can't teach certain things because it can potentially destroy peoples faith. There is so much misconception in this and so much division in the body of Christ because of lack of understanding. The reason I am so passionate about writing these posts and sharing things alike is from a hope to bring the body of Christ together in true unity of the faith. I freely give because I have freely received. My hope is that you also can freely receive.

What does it mean to receive?

Receive means to be given, to take possession of, to experience and to have. If a woman receives the seed from her husband, new life will be the fruit of the two of them coming together with her receiving his seed. The Word of God is a Seed. If we receive it, new life will come forth as the physical evidence of the two becoming one. Look at the parable in Matthew 13:4. "As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop- a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. Whoever has ears let them hear." Let's first ask ourselves why does this say whoever has ears let them hear? This is not the only time we hear this phrase in scripture. Faith comes by hearing and hearing comes through the Word about Christ. Christ is the Will of God. Seed is the Word of God and we are the soil. Man was made from the dirt of the earth. The only seed in this parable that produced was the seed that was sown in good soil. What made the soil good? That is the question most people ask and then think they need to make their soil good so the fruit come forth. And to the natural mind this makes sense. But good soil is useless without receiving seed. 'For this reason Jesus gives the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven to those who follow Jesus but not to the world. Those who have this knowledge, more will be given to them. Whoever doesn't have, even what they have will be taken from them. This is why Jesus spoke in parables: "Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not understand. In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: "You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. For this peoples heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts and turn, and I would HEAL them.' But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it. "Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sowed along the path. The seed falling on rocky ground is refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution come because of the word, they quickly fall away. The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who has the word AND understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, a yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown." Jesus then told another parable about the kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping the enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads then the weeds also appeared. The owners servants came to him and said, 'Sir, didn't you sow good seed into your field? Where did the weeds come from?' "'An enemy did this,' he replied. "The servants asked him, 'Do you want us to pull up the weeds?' " 'No, he answered, 'because while you are pulling up the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. Let them both grow together until the harvest and I will tell the harvester: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.'"

I have noticed that some people think the wheat and weeds are referring to people. Like, 'oh you'll be gathered and thrown in the fire.' Or some people don't finish reading this verse and think they need to pull their own weeds and they end up destroying the wheat that came from the seed. Anyway, that is something for another day. What I want to draw attention to is the soil and the seed. In the parable of four soils, the produce came from the seed that was sowed into the ground that was made ready to receive the seed. Good ground cannot produce anything without seed. And likewise, the seed cannot produce a crop without a ground. Now in the parable of the weeds a good seed was sown. But the enemy came and sowed weeds among the field. And here we can see that many people try to pull their own weeds so to speak, but Jesus says let them grow together and I will tell the harvesters to gather the weeds first and burn them. Then bring me the wheat into my barn. We see that even though good seed is sown into good ground, weeds are sown by the enemy. Our focus is not on the work of the enemy. For we know that in the end, his work will be shown for what it is as it is bundled up and thrown into the fire. I also want to touch on this real quick. The people who are deceived about prosperity might have got a hit of dopamine when they read about the 'worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word and make it unfruitful.' If that is you, be mindful of Proverbs 10:22. "The blessing of the LORD brings wealth and adds no sorrow to it." There is wealth that comes in the blessing of the LORD. We will save that for another day as well. First, we need to get our hearts into position to receive the seed. If we are simply trying to understand the word of God through other preachers, theologians and teachers we might miss out on the conception of the seed. Conception does not happen without intimacy. If the seed and the soil never come together, the promise of the seed will never manifest. Can we say that the promise is not in the seed if we never plant it? No! That would be ignorant. The promise is in the seed wether it ever gets planted or not, wether it produces or not, no matter what happens the promise is in the seed.

People say all the time that we can't preach that God promises to heal. This is a statement based on fear because some people never receive healing. It doesn't matter if you received it or not. There is a promise in the seed to heal. There is a promise in the seed that brings wealth. There is a promise in the seed to bring eternal life. It is not Gods will that anyone should perish. Yet, people perish everyday. How does this happen if it's not Gods will? People will argue, it is because He saves some but not all. He heals some but not all. Then some people will say they did get healed. It was just on the other side of heaven. We have all of these things we say to prove Gods Sovereignty. But we don't need to prove Gods Sovereignty or His Sovereign will. His Sovereign will is in His Son. His promise is in His Son. His Son is the Seed, the Promise, the blessing. In His Son is Eternal Life.  He is the Kingdom of God. And it is Christ in us that is the hope of glory. He is the fullness of God. He is the mystery of God disclosed to the Lords people. God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles. I hear people say, "We don't  or can't know Gods will." But that is not true for us who believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. Because a will is in force when someone has died; it never takes effect while the one who made it is living. This is why the first covenant was not put into effect without blood.. The law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. Christ entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God's presence. He entered by His own blood. Just as people are destined to die once and face judgement, Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; but He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him. He was sacrificed. He died and made known the will of God- to forgive sin. And He comes a second time, not again to bear sin. Those who are waiting for Him have already RECEIVED forgiveness of sin. Those are the ones He comes and brings salvation to. Salvation, Sozo- Saved, healed, delivered, set free.

I have so much more to say. But I have to go to work. But I want to leave this for you to think about. The Promise is in the Seed even if the Seed never gets sown and never manifests. The Sovereignty of God is NOT," that everything that happens is the will of God." The Sovereignty of God is that the Promise is in the Seed of God, who is the Word of God, the Son of God that came into the flesh and died so we could live. No man can take away the Promise that is in the Seed. But man can refuse to receive the Seed that brings the Promise. Be blessed and stay faithful! God loves you. Jesus proved it!

1Peter 1:23, "For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring Word of God."
