The disorder of sin

 It is very costly to walk away from the Living God. Just because no one sees does not mean you are getting away with it. When a person sins, they begin to lose connection to Christ as their head. When a person sins in secret they begin to separate themselves from God. Little by little, unless they surrender that thing over to the Lord they will become what feels so distant from God as if He is mad at them. They will start doing to God what everyone does when they believe someone is mad at them. They will begin to hide from and avoid the Lord. When this happens you risk missing the will of God for your life. You begin to be deceived thinking that whatever happens in your life is the will of God. That is not scriptural. We live in a fallen world and not everything that happens here is Gods will or Gods "way" of showing you something. God gave man free will. All of God's promises are in his Son, Jesus. Knowing Jesus is the only way to be free from any sin. No one can keep sinning and get away with it. Your sin will find you out. If a person professes to be in Christ but does not possess the Spirit of God, they are a dead branch that will be cut off and thrown into the fire. It is those who are alive in Christ that have been grafted in. We are Gods handiwork through his Son. He made us and he is the One who sustains us. The workers of lawlessness, the workers of disorder were told to depart from Jesus, not because of their gifts but because they thought they could earn their relationship with Jesus through what they were doing. No one comes to know Christ by their works. We come to know Christ by denying self picking up our cross to follow him. It is there, on that journey that you will find life.
