ARE WE WINNING YET?
Are we winning yet? Is something I keep hearing from literally everyone who disagrees with what President Trump is accomplishing thus far. I can see where to some it might look disheartening. It grieves my heart to see the fear that people are dealing with simply because they have made the government their source. The government was never intended to be our source. Yet somehow, that has been their goal all along is to make our country dependent on them and take away our true freedom. People have been deceived for years believing it to be the governments responsibility to take care of them. A dependency on government is not life, liberty or the pursuit of happiness. People want to emotionally manipulate others with this lie that their special needs children are now not going to receive the help they need. People are crying on the internet that illegals are getting deported back to where the snuck over here from ILLEGALLY. People are claiming that these people aren't all crooks and criminals. If they came over here illegally, they broke the law and when someone breaks the law that makes them a criminal. It is sad for families to get split up and sent off out of America. Which is why they should have thought about that before they took the risk of that happening to their family. The responsibility is not ours to make sure they obey the law. They are the reason they are going back to their country. Their actions are what caused their family to split up. We wan't to sit, cry and pretend to care about the innocent and the vurnable but want to defend our right to abort our own children. This should not be. People who don't know Jesus as Lord want to toss around scripture saying, love thy neighbor... Is the President not your neighbor? Yet you judge him, telling others not to judge. Love thy neighbor is the second greatest command and one cannot love their neighbor properly until they obey the first command, which is to love the Lord God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind. People don't even know what love is yet want to preach love. There is no greater love than this, to lay down your life for your friend. That is what Jesus did for us. He laid his life down for you, that you could have life. Love is not encouragement of doing whatever pleases you. We all know that love is patient, love is kind, love does not envy or boast. But did you also know that love is not proud. It does not dishonor (shame) others, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of the wrong done to it. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in truth. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. It is the truth that sets us free. Its no wonder that the truth has been twisted by the ignorant. People believe there is no longer the truth but that its "you're truth" and "my truth". God is the source of life. No one can come to him except through his Son. If you want to follow his Son first you must deny yourself. Does it look like you are winning when you first deny yourself? Does it look like you're winning when you let go of every comfort and wrong believing? Of course not. Just like when you decide to clean out your garage, you first pull out everything in there, you start getting rid of things. It doesn't look like winning at first. But after its all said and done, your garage becomes clean and the scary thought of imagining life without all that garbage isn't so scary. The thought of what if I need that later or how will I go on if I don't have that anymore. Let it go. It did not look like Jesus was winning when he was on his way to the cross. Laying your life down never feels at first like you are winning. But after old things pass away and all things become new, you realize it was necessary to let the things go that were actually holding you back from freedom. True freedom isn't doing whatever you want. Your kids aren't the governments responsibility, they are yours. And if you would come to know the Word of God, you would be able to receive true faith and grace to live out what Jesus paid for you to have. But you've been taught that prosperity isn't part of the gospel. You have been lied to. People want to cry about not getting free help for little Timmy to get speech pathology assistance from school, but spend thousands of dollars for Timmy to play travel baseball. Or maybe you don't spend money on his baseball but you sure always have money for cigarettes, vape, alcohol or junk food at the gas station. Get your priorities straight. The government can never be your God. Is it going to be hard? Sure. But I believe some idols are going to be knocked down. Some golden calves are going to get broken. We have taken all the responsibility away from the parents and given it to the schools. Your kid is not the schools responsibility. You can get mad at Donald Trump all you want. But at the end of the day, you are going to lay down and have to decide what you truly believe. Do you trust in the Name of the Lord who you claim is God or is your trust in the government? 1 Corinthians 4:5 says, Judge nothing before the appointed time, wait on the Lord. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. In John 13:7, Jesus replies, "You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand." Some of you don't understand what is going on, but later you will. Complaining is a sign of self centeredness. Stop being mad at the government for not "helping" your neighbor and you yourself go out and help your neighbor. The power is being handed back to the people. Go and be the hands and feet of Jesus. You do it!!! Turn off the news and go read your Bible and ask the Lord what His Will is and do that!!! Don't be mad that others aren't doing it. Know truth and get free. Spread truth, not fear. The Word of God is truth. Take the plank out of your own eye and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your neighbors! Much love to you all!!
