THE BEGINNING AND THE END

 The judgement is death to the disobedient. It is the final decision. This is what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah. Those who are not in Christ and refuse Gods mercy, those who are not in Covenant with God through the blood/life of Christ will die and be destroyed because of arrogance and ignorance thinking its humble to pay for their own sin. But to those who walk in true humility- know how to ask and how to receive. I know that apart from Christ I am nothing and can do nothing. Apart from Him I am only a helpless sinner and as a sinner I came to Him, I called upon His name, the name God gave Him, the name He prayed to His Father and asked Him to protect me with that name, the name that God has mercy on-His Son, the One who carried out the sentence with speed and finality, the one who carried out the decree of destruction for the whole land, I called upon the name that finished the sentence, defeated death, hell and the grave- when He died, I died- when He raised, I am raised in Him. He is my God. He is my Salvation. It is the power of God by which I have been saved from death, hell and the grave. I have a new life in Christ Jesus, one that is lived by the Spirit and not according to my flesh. Does my old man try to draw me back? Yes! Sometimes! But God takes no pleasure in the one who shrinks back. My desire is not to draw attention to myself but to lift up the name of Jesus so that He will draw all men unto Himself. He is the author and the finisher of my faith. He is the beginning and the end. He who knew no sin became sin and paid for my sin that I can know the only true God and Jesus Christ whom He sent. Praise be to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

'And this is eternal life that they may know you, the only true God and Jesus Christ whom you sent.' John 17:3
